Niagra Falls

Niagra Falls is one of the biggest waterfalls in the world. 600,000 Gallons of water plunge into the sea below each second causing a nise that can be heard from miles around. The waterfall is over 12,000 years old forming during the ice age. It brings water to one of the last great lakes, lake Ontario. Niagra falls is not just one waterfall but instead three. The dam is not only an amazing spectacle but is helping in the fight against global warming. It is used to produce hydroelectric energy to the inhabitents around it. Is clean electricity reall worth the deafening noise? The falls are lit up each night giving anyone watching a fantastic show. The light show has been in operation since the 1800s.
